SUMMARY:Ignatian Mindfulness
DESCRIPTION:Join us for a day of returning to center through practices of Ignatian Mindfulness\, including Breathing\, Visio Divina\, and other creative prayer techniques led by Fr. John Predmore. Senses are our primary inputs to prayer\, feeding our heart and mind that beg to be inspired. Imagination unites the two and provides meaning to our experiences of the divine. We will learn how using images\, meditation and our senses can help us approach our day and our relationships from a more grounded perspective\, tuned into God\, celebrating what’s right with the world\, seeing and loving the world as God does. \nFather John Predmore\, S.J. is a Jesuit Priest of the USA East province\, who became a painter and photographer while serving in Amman\, Jordan and has continued his work in Boston. He leads retreats\, workshops\, and conferences using Ignatian Spirituality to teach people to pray by honoring the thoughts\, perceptions\, and emotions that swirl mostly unnoticed in one’s subconscious world. Fr. Predmore works at Boston College High School as the Chaplain for Ignatian Ministries where he forms parents\, faculty and staff\, and alumni through spiritual direction and teaching Compassionate Communications. He also teaches prayer and synodality at Creighton University. www.johnpredmoresj.com. \nLunch is included. Registration closes Tuesday\, February 16\, 2027

SUMMARY:Morning Altars
DESCRIPTION:Join us for an interactive morning of wonder\, contemplative practice\, and connection with the natural world. Karen will lead us in the mindful practice of creating impermanent nature mandalas. Come let something wise and alive emerge as we engage in this beautiful practice together. \nKaren Hoffman is a certified teacher in Day Schildkret’s modality\, Morning Altars\, as well as a compassionate listener\, retreat facilitator and creator of many workshops at Retreat House Spirituality Center. She is also a trained grief educator with Faith & Grief Ministries. Karen has created Words that Matter® workshops and card decks\, available on Etsy\, which help people bring more mindful attention to living. She has published two books\, most recently Navigating Loss with Intention: A Companion Workbook as You Grieve\, which was a #1 new release on Amazon\, and is now being used by professionals with their grieving clients. Karen lives in North Texas with her husband. They have three adult sons and an ever-growing family\, who are the inspiration for much of Karen’s writing\, as she shares her insights on what matters most. \nIf you can stay for lunch directly after the event\, please select a Lunch & Linger ticket in addition to a ticket to the event. \nRegistration closes Friday\, April 23\, 2027.
